Now he just has Morgan...and eventually Aiden

30. Has he/she encountered any tragic times in life?
Well...When he was still human, he met his life partner Aiden Crow, and they lived (and slept) together in secret to avoid persecution. Aiden was a gunslinger in an old indian village/town near what will become Mezmer City and homosexuality was, of course, frowned upon. Ian was the resident gambler. But anyway, Aiden and his fellow gunslingers got into a gunfight with some bank robbers. Arkerian showed up to help and got shot. Franklin, a wandering, young, and very starved vampire, came accross him and decided that one more body in a gunfight wouldnt arouse much suspicion, so he drank Ian's blood and killed him. Aiden spotted Franklin hunched over his lover and, thinking he was one of the robbers, shot him. Not a serious wound for a vampire, but some of Franklins blood got into Ian's gunshot wound and started the slow process of changing him. Aiden, grieved by the loss of another lover (his wife and son died in a fire) left the town right after Ian's funeral and never looked back. Arkerian awoke inside of his coffin, buried alive or course, and dug his way out of his own grave, not knowing what he had become. He found out that his lover had left and, in deperation, took his horse and rode it to his lovers cabin a few miles out from the town, only to find it burned to the ground. The vampire hunger struck him then and, unable to control himself, he attacked, and killed the first person he came across.

When he firs met Aiden, though it was a bit angsty in the begining, and later, after many years of Emoness, he met Morgan, who is, oddly enough, Aiden's great-great-great-grandaughter

Sadly, I don't really have any friends like him....

technically he is a wind Sidhe...by blood...but he phails at using his magic
